Hailey is a mother of two energetic and inspiring children, who teach her something new about herself and the world every day. She takes her role as a therapist wholeheartedly, as it has been a lifelong dream of hers after facing her own challenging experiences with mental health. Because of this, she has developed an approach to therapy as an ongoing practice, one that is non-linear and with infinite possibilities and potential.
Hailey’s style in the therapy room is warm, engaging, and authentic. She wants her clients to feel supported, reassured, and truly heard. Hailey believes every individual can find healing in themselves and enjoys being part of the collaborative process to strengthen, support, and sustain these skills. She believes in the mind-body connection and feels deep gratitude for the opportunity to guide others through their process of healing. She strives to create a harmonious environment to help others learn how to tap into their inner resources and strengths, she helps them navigate life’s challenges and embrace their full potential. Hailey is committed to helping others nurture their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Hailey practices Brainspotting which is an approach that focuses on accessing and processing trauma, negative emotions, and other challenging experiences stored in the brain and body. It aims to help individuals release and heal from these experiences by activating the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Hailey is working towards her certification in Perinatal mental health. Which refers to the mental well-being of individuals during conception, pregnancy, and throughout the postpartum period as well as perinatal grief and loss. It is an important area of specialization that focuses on supporting individuals who may be experiencing challenges during this significant life transition.
I’m a licensed professional counselor with 9 years of experience across therapeutic day treatment, community-based counseling, and both inpatient and outpatient care. I’ve worked with clients aged 5-65 and am passionate about serving my community, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and LGBTQIA+ affirmation. I hold a bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am client-centered and adaptable, meeting individuals where they are in their healing process. I bring an eclectic approach to therapy, using DBT, EMDR, IFS, Trauma-focused CBT, strength-based therapy, and mindfulness. I specialize in fostering self-compassion, self-forgiveness, and improved self-esteem, particularly for clients healing from trauma, including intergenerational trauma, improving relationships, and developing coping strategies. One can expect a gentle, calm, warm, personable, and compassionate approach in therapy sessions with me. I believe that creating a safe and supportive environment is essential for meaningful growth and healing. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or simply looking for guidance on your personal journey, I am here to listen without judgment, help you navigate your emotions, and provide the tools you need to create positive change in your life. My approach is rooted in understanding, patience, and respect for your individual process. I am committed to helping you uncover your inner strengths and build resilience, no matter where you are on your path. I am a passionate advocate for both mental health and social justice. I believe mental health is just as essential as physical health, and everyone can benefit from therapy whether it’s to process a tough day or simply have an unbiased space to talk. Seeking therapy isn’t reserved for times of crisis; prioritizing mental health and well-being is valuable at any stage. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, going on hikes with my dog, playing board games, traveling, and exploring new restaurants. |
Consent is everything to me and I seek to create an environment where clients feel safe (enough), affirmed, and supported, by using a strengths-based approach that centers compassion and a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship as a powerful tool in growing in healing and recovery.
My own experiences as a trauma survivor and person with an eating disorder have taught me that one of the most powerful and centered feelings we can have as humans is to that of inner knowing. My wish is that therapy serves as a container for you that allows exploration of your sense of self, connection to your needs and boundaries, your own powerful sense of inner knowing, and the experience of viewing your life with self-compassion.Â
As a therapist, my values of anti-oppressive practice, harm reduction, neurodiversity affirming support, trauma-informed care, sex positivity, queer liberation, and a Health at Every Size/ anti-diet are the foundation to which I center my work. I approach all therapy with an understanding of the ways our lived experiences, the environment around us, and the systems we live in impact our mental health and who we are as people. Together we will explore self-compassion and a develop a growing sense of connection to our own needs and boundaries.
I have spent over a decade as a survivor advocate which has formed a passion for working with survivors of trauma and especially with people who have experiences of complex trauma, C-PTSD, and childhood trauma. I also have a passion for working with people who are recovering from disordered eating, diet culture, body image distress, and who are seeking a sense of body liberation and recovery within their lives.
I let all my clients know that you may occasionally be greeted momentarily by an appearance of one of my two cats, Mr. Meow or Serenity, as well as my dog named Mabel. I consider myself a pretty casual/cozy therapist who believes in the importance of honoring our needs and with that I want you to be able to show up to therapy as you are and I promise to do the same!
Often because of events we cannot control, some people may experience trauma while others feel the effects of anxiety, depression, and other mental health difficulties.  I strive to help clients make sense of their traumatic experiences and to develop coping skills for times when life’s circumstances lead us through challenging times.  It is my goal to walk with clients on their journey, assist them to rebuild their resilience and provide a safe, confidential space where clients can emerge from suffering into healing and restore their quality of life.
I am a resident in counseling in the state of Virginia and a graduate of Old Dominion University and I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also enjoy working with various diverse populations, including the Latinx populations due to my familiarity with Latinx culture.  I am a trans-, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergency-affirming counselor and have experience working with clients in the polyamory and kink community.
Are you tired of being told that you’re resilient? Do you want that soft life? Are you overworked and facing burnout? Do you want someone who you feel safe with exploring kink, queerness, ENM, multicultural, or spirituality? From navigating trauma to just wanting to get to know yourself, having a safe place to come is a vital part of self-care and the first step of getting a soft life.Â
I am a fiery little person full of spitfire and angst. I am a clinician that is fiercely protective and passionate for human rights and social justice. I value authenticity and autonomy. I believe in living a life that is truly yours. I fundamentally believe that everyone walks through life with their own strengths and my goal is to inspire people to step into their power to live a life that is truly theirs. I have experience working with individuals of all ages dealing with PTSD, CPTSD, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, the Pagan community, Gender/sexuality, Veterinary staff, ENM, foster kids, both currently in the system and those who are transitioning out, and those navigating trauma.
I take a strength-based approach with my clients, recognizing that even while facing mental health challenges, individuals can possess remarkable wellness, inner strength, and resilience. My goal is to help clients acknowledge their strengths and cultivate self-trust, empowering them to draw on their inner resources when faced with difficulties. As the Oracle of Delphi famously said, “Know thyself.” I believe this is one of the most crucial journeys a person can undertake. Therapy provides a space to explore and discover your authentic self. I believe that therapy doesn’t have to be a struggle, working on your life is a natural part of living. I integrate trauma informed care into everything I do. I use flash technique for navigating trauma in a gentle way. I approach clients with the idea that everything you’ve been through you’ve survived.
I know from my own experience in therapy, how hard it can be to really be seen by a therapist, and how necessary that is for healing. At Phases, we support the diversified unity of our community and support authenticity in all its dynamic beauty.
Hey there! Let’s skip the awkward intros and jump straight into the good stuff: I’m basically your friendly, all-accepting, therapy sidekick. I’ve got a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a deep appreciation for equity, inclusivity, and supporting folks from every walk of life. Seriously—whether you’re trans, poly, kink-affirming, or in the sex work industry, I’ve got your back.
Outside the therapy zone, I’m all about vibing to music, exploring nature, painting (even when it looks abstract by accident), and engaging in some serious board and video game sessions. Bonus? I have a mini zoo at home with two dogs and five cats—never a dull moment around here!
Oh, and fun fact: I’m from Ontario, Canada, and grew up speaking French (oui, je parle français!). I’ve also been a military spouse for 17 years, so I totally get the whole resilience thing.
In therapy, I use an integrative approach—think trauma-informed techniques, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and some IFS (parts work) sprinkled in. My goal? To help you navigate life’s rollercoaster with empowerment, compassion, and zero judgment.
Think of me as your compassionate co-pilot, helping you rediscover your inner strengths and guiding you toward the version of yourself that’s been there all along, just waiting to shine. Therapy might be challenging, but you won’t be going through it solo—I’ll be right there cheering you on. Let’s make the journey both healing and empowering (with a side of fun).
