Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Google integration app (“the App”) that connects your Google Account with WP Amelia, the appointment-booking plugin on your WordPress site.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Google Account Information

When you authorize the App through your Google Account, we may access the following Google data:

  • Google Calendar events (create, modify, view, or delete events only within calendars you grant access to)
  • Google profile information such as your name and email address
  • Calendar availability data needed for booking or syncing appointments in WP Amelia

The exact data accessed depends on the permissions you approve during the Google OAuth consent process.

1.2 WP Amelia Data

To sync your calendar, the App may interact with WP Amelia data such as:

  • Appointment details
  • Service provider schedules
  • Customer booking information that you store within WP Amelia

No additional personal information is collected outside of what WP Amelia already stores on your website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use Google Account data only to provide the services you request, including:

  • Syncing appointments between WP Amelia and your Google Calendar
  • Creating or updating Google Calendar events based on bookings
  • Checking your availability to prevent double-booking
  • Displaying calendar information within WP Amelia for your own scheduling

We do not use your Google data for advertising, analytics, or any other unrelated purposes.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.

Your Google Account data is:

  • Only used to perform the scheduling connection you authorize
  • Not stored on external servers unless explicitly required for synchronization
  • Not shared with anyone other than WP Amelia on your own WordPress site

We may disclose information only if required to comply with legal obligations (such as a court order).

4. Data Storage & Security

  • We store only the minimum data necessary to maintain the integration
  • Google OAuth tokens are stored securely and used solely for calendar access
  • No Google Calendar content is stored unnecessarily on external servers
  • Reasonable security measures are in place to protect against unauthorized access or misuse

WP Amelia data is stored on your own WordPress hosting environment, and security for that system depends on your hosting provider’s protections.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

This App complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including:

  • Limited Use requirements
  • Not transferring or sharing Google data
  • Not using Google data for advertising, profiling, or marketing
  • Using Google user data only to provide or improve calendar-sync functionality

For more details, see:
https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

6. Your Choices & Control

You may withdraw Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions page:

https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Revoking access immediately stops all calendar syncing.

7. Children’s Privacy

This App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store data from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
