Brielle Carter
Resident in Counseling
I believe that our relationships, lived experiences, and nervous systems shape how we move through the world, and I strive to create a space where healing feels collaborative and safe. Let’s laugh until we cry, or cry until we laugh. We can sit in silence, take a walk, create art, or play a song that says what words can’t. This space is yours to show up exactly as you are.
After receiving my master’s degree in counseling from VCU, I started my journey as a school counselor, where I became passionate about advocating for students navigating systemic barriers that impact their ability to thrive. Today, I bring that same commitment, creating a space rooted in authenticity, connection, and genuine care. You can expect a kind-hearted human being who is witty, curious, and deeply empathetic. I’ll celebrate your wins, sit with you through the hard moments, and gently challenge you when it helps move you closer to your goals.
I integrate a holistic, inclusive approach that meets you where you are while supporting you in where you want to go. Drawing from somatic practices, existential exploration, play therapy, expressive arts, and practical DBT skills, I help individuals reconnect with themselves, trust their inner wisdom, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. You already hold many of the answers; my role is to help you access them with more clarity and self-compassion. You’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m in the sidecar offering support, curiosity, and encouragement as we navigate your journey together.
